Young People of Distinction (YPOD) is a co-ed leadership and youth development program designed specifically for high school students preparing for the transition into college, careers, and adulthood.
YPOD provides young people with mentorship, leadership development, college and career preparation, financial literacy, life skills, community service opportunities, and real-world experiences. Students participate in conversations and workshops centered on communication, critical thinking, goal setting, emotional intelligence, professionalism, financial responsibility, healthy decision-making, career exploration, higher education, and becoming engaged members of their communities.
By bringing young men and young women together in an inclusive and supportive environment, YPOD helps students strengthen their voices, develop meaningful relationships, identify their goals, and build the confidence and skills necessary to successfully navigate life beyond high school.
