Young Ladies of Distinction (YLOD) is a mentoring and leadership development program created to empower middle school young women as they develop confidence, character, leadership skills, and a strong sense of self.
YLOD provides a safe and supportive environment where young ladies can connect with positive mentors, build meaningful relationships, and participate in workshops and experiences that prepare them for adolescence and young adulthood. Programming focuses on self-esteem, emotional intelligence, communication, financial literacy, healthy relationships, personal development, leadership, academic success, college and career exploration, life skills, and community service.
Through mentorship, sisterhood, and exposure to new opportunities, YLOD encourages every participant to recognize her value, develop her voice, pursue her goals, and become a confident young woman prepared to positively impact her community.
