Young Men of Distinction Inc. (“YMOD,” “we,” “us”) respects the privacy of the families, students, mentors, donors, sponsors, and community partners who visit this website. This policy explains what information we collect through the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When you use our contact form, apply to become a mentee or mentor, or reach out about sponsorship or donations, we receive the information you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and the details of your message or application. Mentee applications are completed by a parent or guardian and include information about the student(s) being enrolled.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit — to keep the site secure and running properly.

- To review applications and enroll students and mentors in our programs
- To communicate about program activities, workshops, and events
- To acknowledge and process donations and sponsorships

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate this website and our programs, and only as needed to do so. These currently include our website host (GoDaddy), our form providers (WPForms, Jotform, and Google Forms), and our event calendar software. Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our students, volunteers, or staff.
Children’s privacy
Our programs serve middle and high school students, and we take their privacy seriously. Applications and enrollment information for students are submitted by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us information without consent, please contact us and we will remove it.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. We do not use advertising cookies. Third-party forms embedded on the site (such as our mentee application) may set their own cookies under their providers’ policies.
