Young Men of Distinction is a youth mentoring and leadership development organization empowering middle and high school youth to prosper through mentorship, leadership development, education, and meaningful opportunities.
What began as a mentoring program for young men has grown into a family of three programs, so that every young person has a place to belong:
- Young Men of Distinction (YMOD) — our flagship program for middle school young men, built on Honor, Respect, Dedication, and Commitment.
- Young Ladies of Distinction (YLOD) — mentorship and sisterhood for middle school young women.
- Young People of Distinction (YPOD) — a co-ed leadership program preparing high school students for college, careers, and adulthood.
Across all three programs, participants connect with positive mentors and role models, take part in interactive workshops and community service, and build the confidence, character, and life skills they need to become successful, responsible, and impactful young adults.
